West & South Tour


This is the tour to take if you want to visit the stunning west coast of Ireland and also get an insight into the politics of the troubles in Northern Ireland.

We visit fantastic towns, Abbeys and Castles on Ireland’s west coast.

You will get a flavour of “The Troubles” We visit places where the battles took place in Northern Ireland.

While in Northern Ireland we will visit the world famous Giants Causeway, Carrick a Rede rope bridge, the stunning and majestic Dunluce Castle.
In Belfast City we will show you the “Peace Wall” that divides the Catholic and Protestant communities and visit the Titanic centre

Product Description

Day 1
Arrive Dublin Airport and travel to your Hotel and relax in Dublin.

Day 2
We start with a morning tour of Historic Dublin City then after lunch we travel to The monastery of Clonmacnoise (Cluain Mhic Nóis in Irish, meaning “Meadow of the Sons of Nós”. We then travel to Galway city and our Hotel for the night. After you settle into your Hotel and freshen up we have dinner. Afterwards you are free to explore the delights of Galway city with its wonderful Bohemian atmosphere.
Day 3
From Galway city we go to the world famous Burren with its lunar like landscape and its unique flora and fauna. We then proceed to the fantastic cliffs of Moher and then back to Galway city to our Hotel.
Day 4
We depart Galway city for beautiful Connemara and its majestic Twelve Bens. We proceed to the beautiful Town of Westport (which has won the award for Ireland’s Tidiest town) to have our lunch.

Day 5
We depart for Donegal and travel into the North of Ireland to the city of Derry (Londonderry) to visit the Bogside, the site of “Bloody Sunday” where 26 six peace protesters were shot by members of the British Army. We will also visit the Murals on the walls of the houses in the area and see “Free Derry” corner. We then return to Donegal town to our Hotel and the pub just around the corner. 😉

From Westport we travel to “Yeats County” and pass majestic Ben Bulben reputed to be the home of the Fianna. A group of warriors from the 3rd century. We pass the grave in Drumcliff of William Butler Yeats. Yeats was a world famous Irish poet and playwright, and one of the foremost figures of 20th century literature. He was also a pillar of both the Irish and British literary establishments. We overnight in Donegal town with music 50 meters from the Hotel.
Day 6
We hope your head is not too bad after the night in the pub in Donegal. We slip back into the North of Ireland again to visit the iconic Carrick A Rede rope bridge. It’s a bit scary but nobody has fallen off yet. lol.. We then proceed on to the world famous UNESCO world heritage site of “The Giants Causeway” where you can wander around. We will have lunch nearby at a famous pub. After we see you all well fed we are going to the spectacular Dunluce castle for a photo opportunity before we travel on to Belfast City to our Hotel.

Day 7
We tour Belfast City and pay a visit to the “Peace Walls” The walls, fences and gates were built in areas of sectarian tension in Belfast during the “Troubles” They are to be dismantled soon. So make sure to see this unique piece of history before it disappears. We also visit the Titanic Centre where you receive free entry as part of your tour. We leave Belfast and proceed to Dublin City to your Hotel where we say our goodbyes to you and hope you have a refreshing sleep before departing to Dublin Airport and home.

Tour cost €860 per person, booking deposit €250 per person the balance to be paid 8 weeks before travelling prices are based on 2 people sharing.
